Krogan glamour shot

The focus blur in this game cracks me up sometimes.. Every time I see this one Krogan on Feros, especially. It's just so soft and fuzzy, like a skincare ad filter or something.

Also amusing/weird, Turian helmets. I put helmets on for this playthrough, because it's easier to be a renegade when you can't see their faces, but Garrus looked weird in this armour.. I have since gotten him a better armour, that also has a full helmet.

And finally, a weird graphical glitch or something, Garrus is just poking his head out of the Mako for some reason. Drove along that entire stretch of road like that, it was hilarious. Might need to click to enlarge this image.

Because there are really some amazing sights in this series. Beautiful alien worlds, the Citadel, the Normandy..

Shepard 2: Already changing romance plans to include Kaidan...

Seriously, that took no time at all... I did not bet on Kaidan triggering the beacon instead of Ashley, should've, but didn't.. She told him it wasn't his fault, and he smiled, and.. yep. This is going to happen. Probably.

Looking through my screenshots

Sort of the video game equivalent of flipping through an old family album... I found one I took from an earlier save. I reverted to an older save to play the DLC before the final push, so took and shared shots from the new scene instead, but I like this one.

It's so easy to lose sight of these little moments, so so easy. Shepard had a rough time from beginning to end, but there were moments of such peace here and there, even happiness. However things turn out, it's the journey that matters.

I think I'm ready to start over from 1, but as a new Shepard. I need to give this one a rest. Maybe I'll try a female Shepard. I'm thinking a tech/biotic this time. She will probably wind up with Garrus, because Garrus is awesome. Maybe I'll even save Williams! (Unlikely.)

"I don't want to go."

There's not much I can say about that ending that wouldn't be a spoiler, and I know there are still people out there who haven't played this series. (But for those that have: I picked the green one.) But wow, that was... emotional.

A quick drink

Past the point of no return now... Kaidan came over, and I snapped some shots, feeling that this might be the last moment they have together, and the last happy moment for this Shepard, so I should document it.

"Shh. Just take five minutes. A quick drink. Then I'll go."

"I lied. I didn't come here for a quick drink."

I.. I don't want it to end. Why does it have to end? This is harder than I thought it would be.

Welp.. here I go. With the Expanded Endings DLC (free) you only need 3100 to unlock all possible endings.. As the screenshot below shows, I have 3319.

Oh man, the Citadel DLC

I love the Citadel DLC! I was too busy enjoying it to take screenshots, but oh wow, it is amazing. The space hamster and 'I don't really sound like that, do I?' and the other dialogue, and everything.

I did snap a couple of screenshots. Mostly of Shepard and Kaidan being adorable. (Zaeed vs the claw machine was absolutely priceless, and, oh man, Grunt's little adventure, but no good shots) Also a group shot.

For the most part, I'm too busy playing the game to think to line up good screenshots, and even when I do remember to take them, I usually miss the shot I was after. But, I have had a few decent ones slip through anyway. Here are a couple of shots of my usual team: Garrus and Kaidan.

Can't really settle on armour for Kaidan, but anyway. Loads of screenshots of my Shepard, but I figured if I'm posting shots anyway, might as well throw some other characters in too.

Took one with open eyes in this scene too, but I like this one better.

Re: Eyebrows

Wait, nope, nevermind, Shepard's eyebrows always look like that.

"Are you flirting with me, Commander? Wait, wait! Don't tell me. Let me live in the illusion."

Welp, now it's going to bug me. (Joking. Kind of.)

Also, yes, Shepard is totally flirting with Kaidan.

On the Citadel again

So I've finally found a calm moment to grab some screenshots, and figured out cropping, go me! So here are a couple of shots from the Citadel. A profile image above, because I never knew how much I missed that nose until it was back on his face, and a Shepard with a friend below.

But who is this dashing inexplicably-blond VI with the two eyebrow scars? Yes, that's right, not one, but TWO.

Somebody sure looks cranky. I actually am a little bit in love with Shepard's eyebrows in this game, even sans scar. They're so expressive, it's great.

"Just this once, everybody lives!"

So, I beat Mass Effect 2, everybody lived, Shepard got to quit in spectacular fashion, and the fish didn't die! (A second time.)

Just fired up 3, and am loving it.. It's a bit more, uh, gory, than 1 or 2, but not overly so.. And Shepard looks like Shepard again! I had to fix his hair, because he imported with Kaidan hair, but 3 let me do that without starting from scratch, which is better than 2. The hair is the only thing I 'changed', though I was so very tempted to do more.

He's got his skintone back, he's got his nose back, he looks less like Dean, more like his own person. Just generally overall, 'yes, this is my Shepard'. I'll add in a quick screenshot for now, but I'll try and get one in better lighting later, and maybe some other angle. Check the two posts before this one for what he looked like in 1 and 2.

So, I think my Shepard here sometimes looks like an older version of Dean Winchester from Supernatural. Completely by accident. If it was deliberate, he'd have green eyes, a less 'grizzled' complexion, and probably a different jaw line.

I noticed this, went 'huh', and continued play. Then Shepard got a suit for 'casual' wear... Seeing him running around aboard ship in that is weird, Dean in Space weird. The front of the suit has a sort of sci-fi look to it, but from behind, and with that hair cut, might as well be regular suited-up-to-pose-as-FBI Dean.

Also, this is the second attempt at having fish, the first lot died. So far, these ones are still alive, feeding them has been worked into my 'mission complete' routine, which is basically: Check for new messages, check if there's tech to research, talk to the crew, feed the fish, save the game, start new mission.
